Diptychs

I began creating a Diptych series which was an expansion of my artistic expression. It allowed me to capture the essence of a person or place, to express themes, building a narrative environmental story of artists, architects, painters, and people expressing themselves in their daily life. Patterns emerged when images came together forming a new visual language creating depth, contrast and meaning.

In my Diptychs, I like creating new compositions by aligning images that convey a message through the interaction of thematic juxtapositions. Prioritizing visual elements that complement one another. Exploring through a narrative concept of similarities or differences with color, light, shape, form, texture, and perspective or parallel storylines. Details of nature to introspective portraiture where objects, spaces and figures create intimacy and connection.
