Beyond the obvious, navigating identity, I’m an explorer creating images from deep within my psyche. My work attempts to capture the invisible edges of my imagination. Exploring imagery that is abstract, emotional, and mysterious, these photographs are filled with feelings and thoughts from my subconscious.
BEYOND is a visual conversation inspired by fragments of overlapping life events that shape both existence and the human experience. In this work, I contemplate the connection of being, identity, and my desire to see what lies behind masked or unmasked faces and places. Capturing isolation while exploring the subtle psychology of the self, these images call attention to the space between perceived reality and dimensions of ambiguity, resulting in a poetic visual expression of humanity. Images deeply immersed in identity feature the play of light, shadow, and magic moments, viewed behind layers of how we feel we are seen.
